Bookmaker Partnerships
Who can pay TopRatedBetting, what those payments may shape, and the parts of our work they are kept well away from.
On this page
Reading TopRatedBetting costs nothing; there are no memberships and no banner adverts. Bookmakers fund the site through affiliate deals, and you deserve a plain account of how those deals work before you press any button. Here it is.
Summary table
| An agreement may influence | An agreement has no say over |
|---|---|
Whether a bookmaker gets a button routed through /go/ | The score given in its review |
| Whether a page carries a tracked registration link or an untracked one | Where it sits in a ranking or comparison table |
| How many brands our budget lets us review each month | Whether a thin promotion, sluggish payouts or weak support get mentioned |
| Nothing whatsoever about what you pay | The odds, bonus or conditions the bookmaker offers you |
Where the money comes from
The majority of bookmaker buttons point at a /go/ address, which forwards you to the operator together with a code identifying this site. When you then register, the operator’s affiliate scheme logs the new account against that code. Agreements differ: one may pay a fixed sum per newly depositing player, another a percentage of the net revenue those players generate for an agreed period, a third a blend of both. Several pay only after a first deposit, and certain products earn nothing at all.
We charge readers nothing. Promotion, prices and account conditions match exactly what typing the bookmaker’s address into your browser would give you. If you would rather we earned nothing, open the operator’s site yourself in a new tab; our review works just as well that way.
Which bookmakers can be partners
Agreements are made solely with operators holding a Gambling Commission licence to serve British customers, and every brand is checked on the Gambling Commission public register before a link goes live. Partners come and go as deals begin and expire, so no permanent list is printed here; a /go/ button on a review is the practical signal that a link may be tracked. Should the register show a partner’s licence lapsing, its tracked links come down. Plenty of the bookmakers we review are not partners in any form, and they are judged by identical criteria.
How reviews stay independent
Editors build and score each review from the product, the terms and the licence history, in line with How we rate bookmakers. Commission levels play no part in that process and are hidden from editors while they score. No bookmaker can pay to preview a review, have a passage struck out or climb a table. If an offer weakens or withdrawals slow down, we write that, partner or not.
Commerce does play one open role: when several licensed bookmakers are closely matched, a list may show the partner as the clickable choice. The alternatives remain named and reviewed elsewhere on the site.
Things we turn down
There are no sponsored reviews, paid news items or “featured” badges for sale here. Free bets, hospitality and gifts offered in return for coverage are declined, and editors do not stake an operator’s money while testing. Should a bookmaker ever make edits to a review a condition of a deal, the deal is off.
Tracking and your privacy
A tracked link passes on a code for this site, not your name or email. Pressing it makes our redirect service place two short-lived cookies, in addition to the pair of visit cookies set on every page; the privacy policy lists all four. Once you land with the bookmaker, its own privacy notice governs its cookies and identity checks.
Advertising standards we follow
Affiliate material on gambling for a British audience counts as advertising for the operator, which brings the advertising codes and the Gambling Commission’s marketing requirements into play. Concretely: no content aimed at anyone below 18, no suggestion that betting fixes money worries or wins friends, significant conditions printed next to offers, and safer gambling reminders beside promotions. If any page of ours falls short of that, we want to hear about it, because a lapse there is a lapse in the editorial standard we set ourselves, not only a breach of an advertising code.
Wellbeing before revenue
A commission never justifies a reader staking beyond their means. Each operator we link to must provide deposit caps, time-outs and GAMSTOP self-exclusion. When betting starts doing harm, the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133) and BeGambleAware.org help free of charge and independently of this site.
Asking about a partnership
The contracting party for every affiliate agreement is the publisher, Ivorywick Online Media Limited, Eurotowers, Europort Road, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. To find out whether one specific link is tracked, or to report a review you suspect was swayed by money, email [email protected] and include the page address.
